
Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) students had a great time at the first stage of the ALKU Student Communities Summit held in Kayseri and came together with Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan to exchange ideas about future projects.
Continuing its efforts to support students through various projects and initiatives, ALKÜ actively participates in both national and international programs. To engage with students and evaluate projects, the university administration, under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan and in collaboration with the Health, Culture, and Sports Department, organized a two-phase Student Communities Summit in Kayseri.The first phase of the summit, held at Erciyes Ski Center, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kılıç, and student community leaders.The first phase of the summit was both an entertaining and educational experience for the students. During the first phase of the ALKÜ Student Communities Summit, students participated in skiing activities at Erciyes Ski Center. Rector Türkdoğan also joined the students in this event, creating vibrant and memorable moments. As part of the program, Rector Türkdoğan met with student community leaders over tea, listening to their requests and suggestions.The conversation provided a platform for students to share their ideas with Rector Türkdoğan and Vice-Rector Kılıç, discuss ongoing projects, and explore new initiatives for the future.
RECTOR TÜRKDOĞAN VISITS OFFICIALS IN KAYSERİ
During his visit to Kayseri, Rector Türkdoğan also met with Governor Gökmen Çiçek and Kayseri University Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa. In his meeting with Governor Çiçek, they exchanged views on the development of the city and collaboration between universities. Rector Türkdoğan expressed his gratitude to Governor Çiçek for his hospitality. During his visit to Kayseri University, he discussed potential collaboration opportunities between the two institutions. He stated, “We once again emphasized the importance of working together on academic and social projects with our esteemed Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa. I sincerely thank him for his hospitality. I hope our joint efforts will benefit both universities and our students, and I wish success to the Kayseri University family.” The visits concluded with an exchange of gifts.

Rector Türkdoğan emphasized that the summit led to valuable discussions and ideas for both students and the university. In his statement, he said, “The ideas of our young students are invaluable to us. We took note of their needs to create better conditions for student communities, and we expressed our commitment to doing our best. We will meet again to further support the growth and needs of our student communities. In the meantime, I have asked our student groups to identify their demands, needs, and suggestions.The energy, ideas and value they add to our university are very valuable to us. It is a great pleasure for me to be in the same space with them listening to their goals and projects. I sincerely thank all students who participated in this productive meeting. We will continue working to build a stronger and more dynamic university environment together. We will always stand by our student communities and support them.”
