
With the establishment of the Energy Efficiency Application and Research Center at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU), the university aims to train experts to meet the energy management needs of regional institutions and private sector organizations.
NEW DEVELOPMENT IN THE HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTER PROJECT
A significant development has taken place regarding the Health and Rehabilitation Center, which is under construction at ALKU’s Kestel Campus by Apaydın İnşaat. ALKU Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan met with Mustafa Apaydın, Chairman of the Board of Apaydın İnşaat, and his brothers Tuncer and Engin Apaydın to renew the protocol for the facility. According to the updated agreement, the first floor of the Health and Rehabilitation Center will be allocated to the Energy Efficiency Application and Research Center. During the meeting, discussions were also held to accelerate the construction process for an earlier completion. The meeting was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kılıç and Energy Management Unit Coordinator Lecturer Leyla Akbulut.
TRAINING EXPERTS IN ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND AUDIT PROJECTS
The ALKU Energy Efficiency Application and Research Center, to be housed in the new building constructed by Apaydın İnşaat, will train experts authorized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources with the “Energy Management and Audit Project Certificate.” These professionals will be certified energy managers and energy audit specialists. Under the framework of Law No. 5627 on Energy Efficiency, the center will contribute to improving energy efficiency in public institutions and private sector organizations.Thanks to the training and exam successes previously achieved by ALKU’s Energy Management Unit personnel, the university has taken its first step toward becoming an authorized institution in this field. The center will be the first of its kind in Antalya and among the top ten institutions in Turkey dedicated to energy efficiency.

He emphasized that the Energy Efficiency Application and Research Center, made possible by their support, will provide significant benefits to the national economy.“Our university will be an institution that carries out energy efficiency services, playing a crucial role in regional energy management and sustainability. With this new center, we will train energy efficiency specialists for both public institutions and the private sector. Additionally, within the framework of the Green Tourism Program, we will educate professionals to meet the needs of Alanya’s tourism industry.
